5-AXIS MACHINING

G.H. Tool & Mold's crown jewels of technology are our 5- and 6-axis machines, a highly specialized capability that offers numerous benefits in design and fabrication. The additional axes broaden the toolpaths of a cutter and the depth it goes without increasing tool length. Virtually all cutting paths and angles can be used to create dozens of machining configurations on these large machines.

An important advantage of 5-axis machining is the ability to cut deep features with a short cutting tool. Since a short tool is less prone to vibrations, smoother finishes are possible.
